As part of the NWCC’s Midwestern Wind Energy: Moving It to Markets, Mark Ahlstrom, WindLogics CEO, presented an Introduction to Wind Resource Analysis at the pre-conference session July 30. The discussion provided an overview of the overall wind resource, seasonal and daily patterns, and methods for analyzing wind resources.
“Available transmission is quickly becoming the linchpin for meeting the Midwestern Governor Association’s aggressive goals for renewable energy,” said Mark. “Moving forward, continued cooperation between policy leaders and transmission planners will be essential for maximizing the country’s use of renewable energy.”
