Lead Application Architect

This position is responsible for leading and managing application architecture and data management development efforts. Requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with 8-10 years in software design and development, and demonstrated leadership skills.

Wind Forecasting Meteorologist

This position is primarily focused on the daily operation of the WindLogics tower data management system. Monitors real-time data flow into the system and ensures current data is posted to the database and made available to end-users, assists in adding new tower data sites to the system. Requires minimum of BS in Meteorology and working knowledge of NCEP/NCAR/NOAA/WMO data sources.

Software Developer/Meteorologist

This position is focused on the development and enhancement of the WindLogics wind energy forecasting system. including combining the National Weather Service model data and data from meteorological measurement towers (met towers) at wind farm sites. Responsible for development tasks to ensure the system is generating continuous data feeds, performing real-time data quality checks, and properly managing the customer database. A familiarity with meteorological phenomena (wind shear, turbulence, icing, etc.) is required. A working knowledge of statistics is required. Some software development will be required. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences, or related field and 3-5 years of experience in a diverse IT environment.

Associate Production Scientist

This position is responsible for identification, assessment, development, monitoring, validation and management of sophisticated computer models, data sources and forecasts to produce scientific wind resource reports, wind and energy assessments and data for wind energy developers, wind farm operators, utilities and financial institutions. Requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or related field, 2-3 years experience in mesoscale modeling.

Research Scientist

This position is located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Responsible for assisting the Chief Scientist and Senior Scientists in defining, implementing and refining our science based technology, developing and testing new product developments and providing support to wind energy production staff for science related project issues. A Masters of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences, Physics or closely related field is required.
